THUNDER BAY - A Collingwood woman charged in connection with a man’s death following an incident in Nipigon on Aug. 23 has been granted release from custody.

Denise Harrison, 30, appeared in court via video in Thunder Bay on Thursday, Aug. 27, and was released from custody on a $5,000 bail plan with a surety.

Upon her release, Harrison must reside with her surety in Southampton, Ont., and is subject to a curfew from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. She is also required to have no contact with seven listed individuals.

Officers with the OPP Nipigon Detachment were dispatched shortly before 4 a.m on Sunday, Aug. 23 to investigate an incident at Stillwater Park on Highway 11-17, according to a previous OPP media release.

When officers arrived they located 32-year-old Seth Dionne of Thornbury who was unresponsive and transported to hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Harrison was arrested and charged with one count of dangerous operation causing death.

The North West Region Crime Unit, Technical Collision Investigations and Forensic Identification Services continues to investigate this investigation.

A post-mortem of the deceased was scheduled to be conducted yesterday, Aug. 26, in Toronto.

Harrison is scheduled to appear in court next in October.
