Grey Highlands man doing donuts on motorbike faces list of charges

The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police slapped a motorcycle rider with a long list of charges related to drunk driving, dangerous operation and resisting an officer after officers found him doing donuts in a parking lot. 

According to the OPP, officers were called to a Grey Highlands parking lot on June 1 at 8:42 p.m. where they found a 33-year-old man doing donuts in the busy lot. 

"As police were speaking to the driver, the driver was displaying signs of impairment," states a news release from the OPP.

The driver failed a breath test and was taken to the police station for further testing.

The Grey Highlands man was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while prohibited under the criminal code (two counts)
  • Operation while prohibited - legal restriction from any other act of parliament or provincial law
  • Dangerous operation
  • Resist peace officer
  • Drive motor vehicle, no plates
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
  • Fail to apply for permit on becoming owner
  • Operate unsafe vehicle

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
