CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP - The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police Crime Unit, under the direction of Detective Inspector Paul Rosato of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, is investigating a hit and run investigation which occurred on Brock Road in Clearview Township, on Sept. 13, 2018.
A 19-year-old male was struck by a vehicle and transported to a trauma centre in Toronto in serious condition.
As a result of the investigation, Isaiah Crawley, 19-years-old, from Clearview Township has been arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Adult attempt to commit murder as per s. 239(1)(b);
- Adult dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm as per s.249(3); and with
- Adult aggravated assault as per s.268.
The accused appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on Sept. 13, 2018 in answer to the charges. He has been remanded to Sept. 17, 2018 in Barrie.
