West Grey Police Services arrested and charged a woman yesterday following a dog attack on New Year's Day that sent a man to hospital with life-altering injuries.
According to a news release posted to the West Grey Police Service social media, officers were called to the Glenelg Holland Townline for a report of a male jogger who was attacked by "Five to 10 dogs, for several minutes."
The man was taken to hospital by a passerby who stopped to help.
Police say the victim of the attack sustained serious, life-altering injuries.
Following an investigation by West Grey Police, West Grey Animal Services, and Grey Bruce Public Health, a 69-year-old woman was arrested on Jan. 14 and charged with criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
She will face the charge in court in Walkerton later.
