The Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 166 calls for service over the Civic Holiday long weekend.

“That’s par for the course, really,” said OPP Const. Martin Hachey.

Two charges were laid by their marine unit in response to incidents in the Collingwood Harbour.

A 24-year-old man was charged with operating a non-human-powered pleasure craft without prescribed vessel safety equipment on board, and with the vessel not being properly registered.
