Police hope the public can help shed some light on what is only being described as a "disturbance" that happened Thursday night on Poplar Sideroad.

According to Collingwood-Blue Mountains OPP, the incident took place at approximately 10:40 p.m., June 18.

Police did not release any specifics about what the incident involved or what exactly took place, other than an area resident had reported a disturbance taking place on Poplar Sideroad between Hughes and Portland streets.

Officers attended the location, however anyone involved had already left the scene in what was described as a dark-coloured pickup truck going eastbound on Poplar Sideroad.

A vehicle was also seen going westbound on Poplar Sideroad. It has a distinctive orange light along the side of the vehicle.

Police are asking the driver or occupants of this vehicle to contact the Collingwood-Blue Mountains OPP at 705-445-4321.

OPP are also asking anyone who was driving on Poplar Sideroad around that time to call the detachment.
