WASAGA BEACH - On June 24, 2019 at approximately 12:30 a.m., Huronia West Ontario Provincial Police responded to reports of a motor vehicle collision where the suspect vehicle had fled the scene on River Road East in the town of Wasaga Beach. Police located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Investigation revealed that the vehicle was stolen and the two male occupants were subsequently arrested by officers.
Ethan Labas, 19 years, of Etobicoke, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
- Drive motor vehicle - no licence
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Possession of break in instruments
- Failure to stop after accident
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on Aug. 8, 2019 for a first appearance.
Jaydem Maraboli, 18 years, of Etobicoke, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Possession of break in instruments
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on Aug. 8, 2019 for a first appearance.
