A Wasaga Beach man has been charged with impaired driving following a tip from a member of the public.
At about 3:50 p.m. Thursday, Huronia West OPP officers responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on County Road 10, heading west toward Wasaga Beach.
At about 4:10 p.m., officers went to the address of the vehicle’s registered owner in Wasaga Beach and saw the vehicle approaching. A traffic stop was conducted, and an odour of alcohol was detected on the driver’s breath, police said in a news release.
A 39-year-old man was charged with operation while impaired (blood-alcohol concentration 80-plus) and dangerous operation.
