Police arrested a 31-year-old Wasaga Beach resident at a RIDE check on River Road West early this morning.
According to a news release from the Huronia West detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, officers conducting a RIDE spot check noted an odour of alcohol on a driver that came through the check at 12:04 a.m. on Feb. 6.
Police administered a roadside alcohol screening test, then arrested the driver.
The 31-year-old was charged with operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration at or over 80.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
