Mill Pond activities at the Blue Mountain Resort opened on June 4.

The first weekend welcoming guests back on the grounds of the Blue Mountain Resort was a success, says a resort official.

“It is wonderful to welcome guests back to summer at Blue. We have most of our summer attractions open now including the open-air gondola, the mill pond and our network of trails in the Explore Park,” said Tara Lovell, public relations manager for the resort.

The resort began opening its outdoor attractions on June 4, which included the cascade putting, the rock climbing wall, chutes and lumber ball run, woodlot low ropes and the timber challenge high ropes course.

“The energy at the resort is great and our team is excited to get back to sharing the Blue-Mountain experience with guests,” Lovell added.

Lovell added it is critical for those looking to take in any of the newly opened attractions to plan ahead for their visit.

“All attraction passes and tickets are only available online. There are no walk-up tickets available. We continue to manage capacity at our attractions and should guests arrive without a pre-purchased experience and the resort is already at capacity, they may be asked to visit another day,” Lovell explained.

As the province moves into Stage 1 of the Roadmap to Reopening this Friday, the resort will be opening a few additional attractions, such as the ridge runner mountain coaster, wind rider triple zips and segways.
