Free BBQ and 'council café' events coming up in TBM

The Blue Mountains council is hosting a series of community events to provide the public with an opportunity to engage with members of council.

The first event is a free community barbecue on Sunday, Sept. 15 at the Thornbury Farmer’s Market from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The event will include food, games and refreshments. 

Four bi-monthly Council Café Events have been scheduled, beginning Tuesday, September 27 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Beaver Valley Community Centre. The Council Café Events will be held on the following dates:

  • Sept. 27, 2024, from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. at the Beaver Valley Community Centre
  • Nov. 27, 2024, from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. at the Ravenna Hall
  • Jan. 8, 2025, from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. at the Craigleith Community Centre
  • March 28, 2025, from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. at a location to be determined 

These free events will be informal, with no set agenda and with coffee, tea and light breakfast snacks offered to attendees and provide an opportunity to talk with council members. Members of the public are encouraged to attend, and registration is not required.
