Paul McGrath is the new Director of Community and Economic Development for Grey Highlands.

The Municipality of Grey Highlands has announced the appointment of Paul McGrath as the new director of community and economic development effective on September 16, 2024.

“With a decade of experience in municipal roles and a proven track record of fostering community growth, McGrath is poised to bring innovative ideas and strategies to Grey Highlands,” states a news release from the municipality.

Prior to joining the Grey Highlands team, McGrath served as the Manager of Community and Business Development for the City of Owen Sound, where he spearheaded numerous initiatives that significantly benefited the city's economic and community vitality. His stewardship saw the development of robust business engagement programs and the implementation of strategies that have enhanced livability and economic prosperity in the community.

As the director of community and economic development for Grey Highlands, McGrath will focus on leveraging his extensive background to further enhance the economic landscape and community life in Grey Highlands.

His role will involve directing strategic initiatives in the areas of parks and recreation, building services, and economic development, all while cultivating business and investment opportunities and strengthening community relations to ensure sustained prosperity and development for Grey Highlands.

McGrath expressed his enthusiasm about the new role he is taking on.
