The Municipality of Grey Highlands is working on a vision for the future of King Edward Park.
The park, located in Markdale, is a popular community space home to the Markdale arena, the ballpark, a playground and the Markdale library.
The municipality is inviting qualified professionals to submit their proposals to create a comprehensive Park Master Plan through a formal Request for Proposals (RFP) process.
The Park Master Plan will serve as a guiding document for the park’s development over the coming years. It will focus on enhancing the park’s functionality, ensuring accessibility for all, integrating sustainable practices, and creating a vibrant, inclusive environment that meets the needs of our diverse community.
The exercise is an incredible opportunity to leave a lasting impact on one of Grey Highlands’ most beloved spaces. By participating in this process, professionals can help shape a park that balances recreational opportunities, environmental stewardship, and community pride.
The RFP is open to experts in park planning, design, and related disciplines. Detailed information, including submission guidelines, evaluation criteria, and deadlines, is available online here.
