This week, the local MPP announced that the Ontario government is increasing support to community agencies so they can continue to deliver vital front-line services to individuals and families across the province.

“This funding will help support our local agencies who provide front-line care to our community's most vulnerable," said Byers.
The news release from Byers stated that the government, through the 2024 budget, is providing $310 million over three years to address increasing operational costs for community organizations that support vulnerable populations. This includes children in care and those with special needs, people with a developmental disability, people who have experienced genderābased violence and survivors of human trafficking.
