The Municipality of Grey Highlands has received a donation of playground equipment for Feversham Park.

At its meeting on Oct. 2, Grey Highlands council unanimously approved a resolution from Coun. Dan Wickens to accept a community donation of spherical climbing bars to the playground at Feversham Park.

Wickens said a local citizen was donating the equipment to the Feversham Park Committee. His resolution asked that staff be directed to find a location for the climbing bars and complete the installation of the equipment.

Wickens also said that the municipality has two staff members qualified to certify playground equipment.

Members of council were happy to see the donation for the children of Grey Highlands.

“It’s always appreciated when the community donates,” said Deputy Mayor Dane Nielsen. “It’s a win-win.”
