COVID-19: Here's the situation in Collingwood today

There have been no new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Collingwood since May 19.

The region’s health unit did report 12 new cases in Simcoe County, but they were all residents of Barrie, Innisfil, Bradford, New Tecumseth, and Essa.

There have been 15 current Collingwood residents confirmed positive for COVID-19, and 11 of them have recovered.

In Clearview, seven people have tested positive for the coronavirus. One person has died, and the other six are reported as recovered.

In Wasaga Beach, 13 people have tested positive for COVID-19. One person has died, and 10 people are reported as recovered.

Ontario reported 404 new cases of COVID-19 in the province today, as well as 29 new deaths and 491 recoveries.

Thornbury and Flesherton farmers’ markets have launched online platforms and will offer pickup of items ordered online starting May 30 and 31.

The Blue Mountains Mayor Alar Soever is hoping to get back-up from other Grey County municipalities for a letter urging the community to stop the division between seasonal and permanent residents and recognize both groups are part of the community.
