The following letter was sent in response to the Town of Collingwood's plans for the reconstruction of Sixth Street.

Dear Editor,

Why are we reconstructing Sixth Street and spending money that is needed elsewhere for other important things like aging infrastructure?

For years we have been kindly and considerately yielding to bikers on our streets in Collingwood.

Why is it now necessary to spend money to add separate bike lanes?

I appreciate people who choose to bike for leisure or transportation but has anyone done a count on how many bikes per car ratio that actually use these streets?

Please use our money wisely.
