The following letter is in response to Premier Doug Ford confirming he'll call for a provincial election next week.
Where does Mr. Ford think he'll get the 'billions of dollars' he says he'll need to fight the Trump tariff fallout?
Well, if he'd abandon building the highways we don't need, or the Ontario Place spa we don't want, that would be a start.
There are only two sources of funds for this bogus adventure – raise taxes or borrow it. Neither is acceptable to the hard-working people of Ontario.
Stand down from this needless election Mr. Ford.
