Mozart's Coronation Mass in Collingwood will mark new King

A Collingwood-based classical choir will be noting the coronation of King Charles with a performance of Mozart's Coronoation Mass at an upcoming concert. 

ChoralWorks will be performing the royal composition along with songs by Verdi, Handel, Andrew Lloyd Webber and some Canadian pieces. 

Brian Rae directs the choir, pulling from his experience in and working with St. MIchael's Choir School. 

ChoralWorks presents at least two concerts a year with repertoire selected from across mucial history from the Middle Ages to the 21st Century. 

Ever welcoming to like minded singers, if you read music and yearn to sing the most loved music of the centuries, ChoralWorks is particularly interested in tenor and bass voices. Information on how to join is found at ChoralWorks.ca.

The Coronation Mass concert takes place at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church on April 22. Tickets are $40 in advance or $50 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at choralworks.ca or through any ChoralWorks member.
