Collingwood council members grabbed some sidewalk chalk and wrote messages on the interlocking brick outside town hall this morning to participate in the Hospice Georgian Triangle's (HGT) latest campaign.
Mayor Brian Saunderson, Deputy Mayor Keith Hull, and Councillors Deb Doherty, Mariane McLeod, Steve Berman, and Kathy Jeffery were all writing chalk messages in front of town hall this morning.
It's called Chalk Your Walk, and it's how HGT is celebrating the fifth anniversary of Campbell House. All this week, HGT is encouraging people to decorate sidewalks in the community with messages and pictures of encouragement and kindness.
HGT has cared for 776 patients and their families since opening the doors of Campbell House on Aug. 4, 2014.
If you decorate a sidewalk, HGT wants to know. Take a photo, post it publicly on social media, and tag Hospice Georgian Triangle on Facebook or @HospiceGT on Twitter. You can also use the hashtag #ChalkYourWalk.
