Four people have been arrested following an investigation into numerous break-and-enters in Collingwood and Clearview Township.
In January, Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP received a report of a man driving a stolen vehicle and being in possession of firearms.
On Thursday morning, search warrants were executed at two residences in Innisfil and four people were arrested.
Police seized a loaded 9 mm handgun, a sawed-off shotgun, two rifles, police and corrections uniform patches, and other items related to the break-ins that happened in Collingwood and Clearview in the fall.
Kyle Main, 36, of Collingwood, has been charged with the following:
- Possession of a firearm and ammunition contrary to a prohibition order (three counts)
- Failure to comply with a release order
- Possession of property obtained by crime (four counts)
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Careless storage of a firearm (two counts)
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (two counts)
- Possession of a restricted firearm
- Possession of a prohibited firearm
- Unauthorised possession of a firearm (two counts)
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm (four counts)
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Possession of a loaded restricted firearm
Nathan Plater, 27, of Innisfil, has been charged with the following:
- Possession of a firearm and ammunition contrary to a prohibition order (three counts)
- Failure to comply with a release order
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Possession of a prohibited firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm (two counts)
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm (three counts)
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a weapon
William Robertson, 26, of no fixed address, has been charged with the following:
- Failure to comply with a release order (two counts)
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Possession of a prohibited firearm
- Unauthorised possession of a firearm (two counts)
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm (three counts)
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a weapon
Jennalee Taylor, 33, of Alcona, has been charged with the following:
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 (three counts)
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Possession of a restricted firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of a loaded restricted firearm
All four were held in custody for a bail hearing in Barrie.
