The Grey County Historical Society will be visiting the Neustadt Springs Brewery on Oct. 18 for a tour.

The society is inviting members of the public to attend the tour of the historical brewery on the afternoon of Oct. 18.

The brewery’s website states: “Neustadt Springs is the product of over 160 years of tenacity, sustainability, and hand-crafted excellence.”

This brewery started in 1857 as Crystal Springs, due to its location on top of a pristine water source.

Since 1997 it has been called Neustadt Springs.

Today, brewmaster Marvin Dyck uses his skills from his master's degree in science and a bachelor's degree in food science and his minor in history to blend the past legacy with modern innovation in craft beer processing.

The tour will be an opportunity to discover the history of the building and the brewing process.

Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP the society at: [email protected] or call 519-376-9423 and leave a message before Oct. 17.
