The next meeting of the Grey County Historical Society will be a tour of a family farm in Grey Highlands.

Featherstone Family Farm is a small-holding farm in Priceville in Grey Highlands that embraces old-world farming with healthy relationships to the land, nature and animals.

Their practices provide healthy food for everybody and provides species, like the Bobolink, habitats in which to thrive.

This mixed farm incorporates wildflower meadows, a deer migratory forest and ancient hedgerows. The family raises small Old English Shorthorn cattle, over 300 rhubarb plants, vegetables, herbs, flowers and seasonal produce. Cash sales of produce and culinary treats are available in their farm gate store.

The public is invited to join the historical society on Wednesday Sept. 18 at 1:30 p.m. to tour this  old-English inspired farm and meet the farmers. The farm is located at 305334 South Line A, Priceville. More information about the historical society can be found at: Greycountyhs.ca
