With more than 40 submissions to choose from, the Downtown Collingwood business association (BIA) had lots of options for this year's parade theme.
The winning suggestion announced on Sept. 24 is "Santa's Workshop."
The theme was chosen through a local contest, and Jennifer Knox had the winning idea and now a Downtown Collingwood gift card for $200.
"We are excited to see what creative entries this theme will bring to the annual Santa Claus Parade," states a news release from the BIA.
In Collingwood, the annual parade takes place in the evening to let the Christmas lights shine. This year's parade starts at 5 p.m. on Nov. 16.
If you're planning on joining the parade, float registration is happening now. It's free for community groups and non-profit organizations, and the commercial entry fee is $100.
Financial sponsorships are also welcome.
