Below are five area events among the many happening this weekend:

William’s Comedy Benefit

On Aug. 31, Taps ‘N’ Tunes will be hosting William’s Comedy Benefit, hosted by Daniel Shaw and headlined by Mike Rita. ‘Collingwood’s Funniest Unhomed Person’ William Blundon will also take the stage at the event, which is intended to raise funds to help him buy a bike, clothes, toiletries and other necessities as he lives on the streets of Collingwood.

Free Community Yoga

In partnership with Everlove Healing & Yoga, free community yoga will take place on the grounds of Somewhere Inn on Aug. 31 at 9 a.m., and is free to attend.

Kenny’s Concert

The second annual Kenny’s Concert will take place at the Shipyards Amphitheatre on Aug. 31 starting at 6 p.m. -- home of Kenneth McAlpine’s memorial bench. Local indie band Moondoggy will perform, with opening act Desert Groove.

Summer Sundown at Blue Mountain Village

A send-off to summer with concerts and entertainment in Blue Mountain Village, featuring headlining performances. Fun for the whole family with scavenger hunts, groove dancing, interactive drumming, magic shows, and more.

Memories of Summer – Featuring Tom Cochrane

Wasaga Beach will host their Memories of Summer event on Sept. 1 from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Beach Area 1 stage. Beer Garden opens at 5 p.m. presented by Side Launch Brewing Company. Bywater Call takes the stage at 7:20 p.m., with headliner Tom Cochrane performing at 9 p.m. Fireworks will be set off at 10:30 p.m.
