Black Harvest Festival
Collingwood’s annual Black Harvest Festival returns on Oct. 26 in Collingwood’s downtown. Between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., kids are invited to trick-or-treat (with their parents) at all the businesses with a sign in their window indicating there are treats inside. There will also be balloon twisters at the parkette across from town hall. There will be costume contests split into different age groups from babes in arms to age 12, and a prize for the best family group costume.

Bowling Night for Brad’s Place
The second-annual Halloween bowling fundraiser takes place at Georgian Bowl on Oct. 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. Brad's Place Addiction Treatment of Southern Georgian Bay is looking to raise funds to establish a residential youth addiction treatment centre in the Southern Georgian Bay area.

It’s Scary to Be Hungry food drive and dance
The inaugural It’s Scary to be Hungry food drive and dance will take place Oct. 25 at the Georgian Bay Hotel. The event has a goal of bringing in 4,000 pounds of food for the Collingwood Salvation Army, and financial donations are also being accepted.

Collingwood Blues home game
The Collingwood Blues will be taking on the Buffalo Jr. Sabres on Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. at Eddie Bush Memorial Arena.

AGORA: Path of Light
Oct. 27 is the last day for Blue Mountain Village’s AGORA: Path of Light display. As participants walk the three-kilometre circular path, they encounter a series of interactive lighting installations based on the five elements of air, space, earth, water and fire.
