Collingwood OPP officers are asking for help from residents to find "items of evidence" that were discarded after a robbery on the weekend.

The robbery took place shortly before 9 p.m. on Sept. 22, and involved a person brandishing a gun and asking an employee to open the cash register. The employee complied and the suspect left the business with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The gun is believed to be a replica or BB gun, according to police.

Police arrested 44-year-old Ryan Puloski of Collingwood, and charged him with robbery using a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a weapon, pointing a firearm and using a firearm while committing an offence.

Now, police are asking residents to be on the lookout for a hat, a zip-up sweater, and a replica handgun believed to have been tossed somewhere in the area of Pine and Oak Streets between First and Third Streets in Collingwood.

The hat is black, with a flat peak and 1858 embroidered on the front. The zip-up sweater is also black.

The replica handgun, or possibly BB gun is black and is alleged to have been used during the robbery.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about the location of these items is asked to call the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP at 1-705-445-4321.
