Collingwood OPP confirmed the charges were laid on June 4.
McNabb's case was before Justice Michelle Fuerst today for judicial pre-trial, but Lynn Shirreffs, the Crown Attorney on the case, admitted to a technical error that left court filings from the Crown blank and not uploaded in time for the judge to read through them.
Criminal defence lawyer, Edmund Chan, confirmed he has been retained to represent McNabb in court.
Justice Fuerst adjourned the case until Nov. 26.
There is a publication ban on details of McNabb's court case, and none of the charges have been proven in court.
McNabb spent 16 years on Collingwood council, 10 as a councillor between 1991 and 1997 and 2006 and 2010, and six years as deputy mayor between 1997 and 2003.
