Collingwood business robbed at gun point

A suspect has been arrested, and police say the weapon is believed to be a replica firearm/BB gun

Police arrested a Collingwood man following a robbery at a local business on Sunday evening. 

According to a news release from Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP, a suspect entered the store shortly before 9 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, and brandished a firearm while asking the employee to open the cash register. 

"The employee complied and the suspect eventually left the business with an undisclosed amount of money," states the news release. 

Collingwood OPP officers with a canine unit and the OPP Emergency Response Team responded to the robbery call and tracked down a suspect within 90 minutes of the robbery. 

According to the news release, the store employee was not physically injured and it is believed the weapon used in the robbery was a replica firearm/BB gun. 

Police arrested 44-year-old Ryan Puloski of Collingwood, and charged him with robbery using a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a weapon, pointing a firearm and using a firearm while committing an offence. 

He will face the charges in court later.
